and heaven's where we could be
I stood on the edge of love
but never took the leap
You took my armor off
and did it delicately
And I let my guard down
to show you what's underneath
I do love this song. It feels relatable somehow. Specially for those who've been very comfortable being alone for quite sometimes.
Katy's separation with her husband isn't something to be taken lightly. And she's been pouring her heartbreak and struggles into some of her music. So it is very nice to finally get a song like this from her.
I think she's the kind that will go 100 percent for whatever or whoever she thinks worth the efforts. Therefor it will hurt a lot to be with someone that might not even willing to meet her halfway.
The truth is, everyone has their own scars. And whatever those scars are, it leaves a certain mark and shaped you into what you really are at the moment.
But yes, it's easy to surrender, when you finally find forever. Even though forever is still far away from the present. It's probably when you finally find that one person or one opportunity or whatever makes you really want something so bad that you're finally willing to try. To get out of the little shell you've created around your fragile heart.
I don't know what the future holds. And certainty isn't what I'm holding for now. But I really want to try..
